San Juan Capistrano , CA (January 6, 2010) - Hobie is proud to announce the signing of 3 time World Longboard Champion Colin McPhillips as the newest addition to its team of premier surfers and watermen. Colin will be representing Hobie Polarized sunglasses, Hobie Surfboards and Hobie Stand Up Paddleboards.

Colin is currently working with Hobie shaper Mark Johnson on 3 signature high performance Stand Up Paddle surf models, and 3 signature Hobie Surfboard models shaped by legendary Hobie shaper Terry Martin.  The new models will make their debut at the January Surf Expo Tradeshow and available to retailers Spring 2010.
